What to pack for Marrakech, season by season
Packing for Marrakech is easy once you know two things: the sun is strong, and the nights can be cool, especially in the countryside. Here is a simple list.
All year round
- Sunglasses, a hat and sun cream
- Comfortable walking shoes for the Medina
- Light, loose clothes that cover shoulders and knees for visits in the city
- A swimsuit for the pool
- A light scarf: useful against the sun, the dust or a cool evening
Season by season
- Spring and autumn: light clothes for the day, a jumper or a light jacket for the evening
- Summer: the lightest, most breathable clothes you have
- Winter: warm layers and a proper jacket for the evenings, as nights can be cold

Practical
- Morocco uses European-style plugs (types C and E, 220 V).
- The Moroccan dirham is mostly obtained in Morocco: cash machines are easy to find in Marrakech.
- A passport or valid ID is required for all guests on arrival.
What you can leave at home
At Dar Amna you will find a modern, fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning and heating, Wi-Fi, and a baby cot on request, so you can travel lighter.
