When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
Marrakech is a year-round destination, but each season feels different. Here is what to expect, season by season, to choose the moment that suits you best.
Spring (March to May): the favourite season
Warm, sunny days, cool evenings, gardens in bloom, and snow often still visible on the highest Atlas peaks. It is one of the most pleasant times to walk through the Medina and to explore the mountains.
Summer (June to August): heat and the pool
Summer is hot, with afternoon temperatures that regularly climb above 35°C. Days are best spent the local way: outings in the morning, long afternoons by the pool in the shade, and dinners outside once the air cools down. A private pool makes all the difference.

Autumn (September to November): golden light
The heat softens, the light turns golden and the evenings are perfect for dinners outdoors. September can still be very warm; October and November are ideal for long days outside.
Winter (December to February): sunny days, cool nights
Days are often sunny and mild, but nights can be cold, especially in the countryside. This is the season when the Atlas is dusted with snow. At Dar Amna, heating keeps the villa warm, and the snowy peaks fill the windows of the suites facing the Atlas.
Good to know
- The dates of Ramadan change every year; daily rhythms and restaurant hours can be different during that month.
- School holidays (Easter, summer, Christmas and New Year) are the busiest periods: book early.
